Philosophy behind my work:

derived from a quote by Hermann Hesse "Every man is more than just himself; he also represents the unique, very special and always significant and remarkable point at which the world's phenomena interest, only once in this way and never again."

I believe there are no mistakes in expressing your true intuition in the creative process. Every choice and every mark made on paper or canvas is a result of the phenomena of the natural world. It is unrepeatable and endlessly worthy of consideration.

My recent focus on contemporary, abstract paintings implements a wide variety of mediums; acrylic, stitch, illustration, and collage to name a few but my creative exploration is limited to none. My work comes into existence rapidly and morphs through several versions of themselves through the creative process, mirroring the personal development is self which is the drive behind my work.

Through my paintings I practice allowing my choices to exist without judgment or expectation, to be satisfied with their chaotic and unsensible selves. This allows me to act on the promptings which come from my true self. In this work I seek the sacrality of self-discovery and eternal expression of my deepest emotions which I am often unable to articulate with words.
